Illustrator & Art Teacher
I am an Illustrator, runner, and a wannabe surfer, in addition to being a wife and a mother of three awesome and paint-splattered boys.
Learn To Draw are fun yet challenging lessons taught in my Glamorgan home. I look forward to spending some time with your child each week helping them develop their drawing skills and a love of art.PRIVATE CLASSES

I have gone back to school, working on a Master's degree in counseling psychology and art therapy.
My art classes have been suspended until life is not quite so crazy.
Classes for Children in Grades 4-6
Learn to Draw from Life

In this 6 week class students will learn to draw from life. The first two classes will be spent in a classroom setting drawing from still life and from models (our classmates and my children) Then we will spend the next 4 classes out in the world, sketching in coffee shops, bookstores, and weather permitting, in nature. As we sketch in our sketchbooks we will also be exploring new media (pen & ink and watercolors).

Classes for Children in Grades 1-3
Learn To Draw Anything

In this 8 week class students will learn how to approach drawing any subject by starting with simple shapes and working in layers. Through our weekly projects we will explore the elements of drawing including color, shape, texture, value, line and form.

Learn to Design Characters II
Dates TBDPrerequisite - Learn to Draw Characters I
This is an 8 week class for students who have already completed Learn to Design Characters I.
We will be building on the principles learned in the first semester,
focusing on telling a story through our character's expressions, poses
and image composition. We will address perspective and creating
environments for our characters.
We will continue to talk about processes used by illustrators and
animators and apply the elements of drawing (including
color, shape,texture value, line and form).

Dates TBDPrerequisite - Learn to Draw Characters I & II
This is an 8 week class for students who have already completed Learn to Design Characters I and II.In this class we apply everything that we have learned in our character design classes - telling a story through pictures - focusing on expressive characters, creative environments and well designed compositions.
We will continue to talk about processes used by illustrators and
animators as we create our comic layouts.
